The story begins at the Sun Village were there is a festival was held.The Festival called "The Prayer of Amaterasu",it is said before the sun rises,the people of Amaterasu gather the cave called "Amano-Iwato",the cave that the Sun Goddess,Amaterasu fled to the cave from her brother,Susanoo the Storm God.They put their hands on the flame and see the future within the fire.When the sun rises,they celebrates their leaders.It is past down through generation by generation.
It is ruled by the Amaterasu princes and princesses, Amako Amaterasu,Takuya Amaterasu,Itachi Amaterasu,Sasuke Amaterasu,Satoshi Amaterasu(once the Adonis hunter that defeated Chaos),Satoko Amaterasu and their younger sister,Rukawa Amaterasu(now in age of 14).As they arrive at a cave and confronted the flames,the siblings gathered their hands around the flame.Satoshi's older brother,Takuya,who look apparently suffers a terrifying hallucination from his past,cool down by Haruka Kasugano,sister of Hitomi Kasugano, an ESPerion Aura, who are the descendants of the kami of merriment, Ame-no-Uzume, who set Amaterasu free from the cave by putting the three sacred treasure on the tree.As the ceremony started,a beam of light attacking the village.A being revealed and his name was Zen-Aku,he used to be a best friend of Takuya and a student of Rua,but betrayed his own friend and killed his own teacher by made a pact with a demon.Takuya swore revenge on him and has sealed him from other dimension.Zen-Aku and Takuya were become fated-enemies,much like Iori and Kyo,and began to fight.Both of them were the swordmaster,but Takuya was devasted to fight almost defeat.Thankfully,Satoshi and Haruka arrive the scene to defend Takuya.As they escape,Zen-Aku says he will meet Takuya again.
Satoshi Story:
While running through the city, a confused Takuya asks Satoshi why he is helping him, but he replies that he has "no special reason". Soon afterwards, two of Zen-Aku's allies,Ren and Shua successfully captures Haruka while Takuya is distracted fighting them. As they turn away, Takuya throws Satoshi his "Ama-no-Murakumo-no Tsurugi", which he catches and assures him that he will be back after he rescue her.But,Satoshi quickly follow his brother but loose a sight.Then,The next morning, while attempting to gather information on Zen-Aku's whereabouts and searching for his brother, Satoshi runs into Elias, who has apparently been helping to clean up the village after Zen Aku's attack. He reveals that he knows that Satoshi had attempted to save Haruka Kasugano and offers to help Satoshi out however he can; while he doesn't know what Zen-Aku's up to this time, he knows it isn't good.
Satoshi and Elias chase the Adonis Hybrid demons to Wave Ocean, a nearby beach, but are unable to catch up to it before it escapes. Defeated for now, Satoshi and Elias decide to return to the city.Takuya,after saving Haruka,who ended up trapped on a rooftop, Satoshi and Elias make their way to the Dusty Desert, where Zen-Aku,Ren and Shua has been seen, and landing right in the room where they are keeping Haruka, who is quite glad to see them (or at least Satoshi). At that moment, Zen-Aku arrives and testing Satoshi's sword-mastering but ended up defeated by a youth. Fascinating at the boy's ability, he vow to return.
After escaping the desert and entering the plains, Satoshi comes to a stop. Haruka thanks Satoshi for his help, but then Takuya notices a wound on his arm. Despite Satoshi's insistence that he's fine, Takuya strictly bandages his arm with a handkerchief.Though Haruka blame herself,Takuya told her that he was blaming himself for letting his little brother involved and getting hurt, Haruka apologizes, but Satoshi merely tells her and Takuya to smile, stating that their smile is all he needs to keep him going. While walking through the plains, Takuya confessed everyting:he was once the reincarnate Lau Wong, the legendary swordsman from 952 years ago and Zen-Aku were best friends and student of Rua.The two of them were mastering a sword wielding and they sparring.Both of them liking towards Jun Mei,Rua's daughter as Zen-Aku fell in love.She was kidnapped by a demon spirit call "Lucifer",but when he and Takuya on their way,Jun Mei was killed.Frustrated of her death,he unleashed anger,which leads murdering their master and betraying Takuya.However,Takuya has no choice but to seal Zen-Aku within the Scepter, not before giving him a warning that he will come back for him.Takuya still frightens with that happen. Without warning, Satoshi grabs Takuya's hand and runs through the plains with him. Afterwards, Takuya and Haruka lightens up, and Satoshi gives them some useful advice (which he learned from Hitomi and Elias).
As they back home,Takuya and Satoshi were attacked by Ren and Shua kidnaps Haruka again.As Ren started to attack Takuya,Satoshi intervents and challenges Ren,letting his brother to find Haruka, only to have his twin sister, Satoko came to help.There,he met Tazuki and Ayane were there,claiming that they saw Takuya went to save Haruka but he's not alone,Hayate and Michiru were there.Then,Kurei and Raidou arrive in the scene where they're waiting.
Eventually,they saw Takuya with Haruka fighting with Zen-Aku.Before they can reached them,they were interrupted by Shua,claiming not to interfere.Ayane then slammed Shua out of the way with her Water Dragon until she sets a "Time Compression" on Satoshi,Kurei,Ayane,Raidou and Tazuki to ther timelines,leaving a suprised Takuya in despair and anger.Zen-Aku tells him that his brother is not dead.
Satoshi,Kurei,Ayane,Raidou and Tazuki encounter Shade Access and Rowena Rouge, who are also trapped in this future. In order to return to the present, they need to create a rift in time and space, which they figure can be created if Satoshi and Shade use their Aura Power together. While searching for Aura Crystals, Satoshi,Kurei,Ayane,Raidou and Tazuki encounter Shelke and Preeya in their reunion.Then,they encountered a familiar people,Zen-Aku,Ren and Shua.Faith reveals to them that Ren and Shua is the one that releases Zen-Aku in order to get revenge on Takuya,who have been sealed him for 1000 years. Satoshi learns from a computer file found by Raidou that Takuya was killed when battling Zen-Aku and the two dies in explosion during two days after the "The Prayer of Amaterasu",Satoshi told Shelk that Takuya was his brother from present and Zen-Aku was his arch-enemy from years ago. Shelke learns this and he says that he will help his friend to save Takuya. After retrieving a pair of Aura Crystals, Satoshi and Shade create the space-time rift, allowing them to return to the present.
After they went back to the present,Takuya returns for Haruka, but is once again attacked by Zen-Aku, ordering Ren and Shua to kidnap Haruka again. Fortunately, Shade along with Shelk, arrives to confront Zen-Aku, allowing Takuya to rescue Haruka apparently Satoshi was there, and he returns her to home with her mother, Pandora and her siblings,Hitomi and Ventus. Later, Zen-Aku arrives in his battleship and threatens to destroy the Sun Village, and Takuya willingly surrenders himself to him to protect his people.Then,at the battlefield,Takuya,who accepts his challenge from his enemy,Zen-Aku,ask him why he wanted so much to kill him.Zen-Aku tells him about the Fire Bird so he wanted to rule the world.Takuya,remembers the vessel of the Fire Bird spirit were lies inside Satoshi and Haruka was the reincarnate Jun Mei,tells him that won't let it happen and began to charge Zen-Aku.
On his way to finding his brother, Satoshi encounters Shelke who,bats Ren and Shua out of his way when they tried to kill Satoshi for interfering, expresses concern for Takuya as well. The two boys team up, but before they reach the battlefield, Takuya,in bloody state who stabbed by Zen-Aku,saying that he too takes Zen-Aku to hell much as he plead and then,both men exploded, just as Satoshi feared. However, Satoshi and Shelke realize they can use Aura Power to travel back in time to the previous day, before Zen-Aku challenges Takuya. Satoshi travels to the past alone and reunites with his beloved brother. Both brothers defeat Zen-Aku,Ren and Shua one last time, Satoshi escapes the battlefield with Takuya.Thanking Satoshi,both brothers went back home.
Shade's Story:
Shade was the son of Vanitas Jadite and Lucretia Access now one of agents of TFNC corp. who join his uncle, Elias as his commander.His story opens in the midst of a rescue mission of Rowena Rouge, who was sent to retrieve the "Scepter of Darkness" from Rocket's base, and had not been heard from since. Shade invades the base and finds Rowena in the midst of accomplishing her mission. They escape to the site that was formerly the burnt village of Amaterasu's leader where they are confronted by Ren and Shua, who attempts to retrieve his stolen property. They swoop down to attack, and in the heat of the battle, the Scepter of Darkness is completely shattered. With the seal crashed, Zen-Aku is freed.
Resurrected in the likeness of Shade through his shade, Zen-Aku introduces himself and hints at past history that the two shared. Shua, using a time warp, similar to Cosmos Power, flings Shade and Rowena to a future on the brink of collapse. When they arrive, they are first perplexed, but before long, they find some disturbing answers. Along the way, they find an inactive, dusty S-345 Maximus, lying in stand-by mode for hundreds of years for an unknown reason. They discover that they are in the distant future, destroyed by the demon Lucifer. Shade and Rowena meet up with Satoshi,Kurei,Ayane,Raidou and Tazuki who were sent to the future by Shua's Time Compression. Satoshi and Shade conclude that they must use Aura Power to get home, and set out to locate the Aura Crystal. After a confrontation with Lucifer, they succeed in finding two Aura Crystal and successfully create a time warp to the present. Satoshi and company go back to their time, except for Shade, who stays to confront Zen-Aku. Upon catching up with Zen-Aku, he reveals to Shade that the humans, looking for someone to blame for the destruction of the Earth, saw Shade responsible for the catastrophe. Shade is hunted down, defeated, and trapped behind an energy seal. Zen-Aku tempts Shade to join him to gain vengeance upon the humans, but Shade refuses and the two engage in battle.
Rowena, in the present, realizes that Shade is alone in the future fighting Zen-Aku, without the Aura Crystal. She searches for S-345 Maximus, gives him a Esper like Aura Crystal, and tells him to sit and wait in stand-by mode until the distant future becomes the present, and to assist Shade fighting Zen-Aku. Shade, at Zen-Aku's mercy, is rescued by Maximus, who gives him the Aura Crystal and helps Shade fight Zen-Aku. Defeated, Zen-Aku flees to the present through a time warp and Shade and Maximus follow him to the present. Maximus pursues Zen-Aku, and Shade finds Rowena, who informs him that Zen-Aku and the two minions are apparently searching for the Fire Bird Spirit and kill Takuya. Shelke appeared and tell Shade that "Takuya" Rowena said was an older brother of Satoshi Amaterasu and Zen-Aku was used to be friends but betrayed and became fated-enemies.
Shade then leaves only to find Takuya, who is under attack by Ren. Shade rescues Takuya, who runs away with Haruka, and Shade engages in a fight with Ren. Shade is able to overcome him by freezing time so Ren cannot defend himself. Refusing to just be defeated, Shelke came to aid Shade and defeat the rogue assassin.With last word,he says the time of discord will be come as long Zen-Aku will obtain the Fire Bird Spirit before turns to ashes. Shelke doesn't understand why they wanted The Fire Bird Spirit,Shade tells Shelke that in order to understand more about Zen-Aku and the Fire Bird Spirit, they would have to use the warp and witness the battle themselves. So the two of them, using the Aura Crystal, open a time warp to 10 years ago, as they on their way. They witness Jun Mei's death at hand of Lucifer, and watch as Zen-Aku's rage towards his master has been consumed by demon Lucifer. With a dying breath,Rua tells them that the demons must be sealed, so he gives to a young Takuya the Scepter of Darkness with a help of Shade. Along with the youth, Shade goes to capture Zen-Aku, and Shelke goes to capture Lucifer before the Fire Bird came to help the three boys. It is here that Shade finds out why Zen-Aku knows him; it was Shade who sealed him in the Scepter of Darkness in the first place. With the demons sealed, Shade leaves the Scepter in the past to Takuya and the bird since he knew where it would end up in the present day. Shelke and Shade return and Shade rushes off to find Rowena to tell her what he learned about Zen-Aku. Shade finds Rowena, and tells her to find out what the Scepter of Darkness, Zen-Aku's seal, was made of, so they can create another one.
Elsewhere, Maximus has found Zen-Aku on the beach and defeats him once again, but Shua came and laughs and tells Maximus that the reason he can defeat him so easily is because he was built to defeat Shade later on. Maximus refuses to acknowledge the truth at first but after the two escapes again he admits to Shade and Rowena that he was the one that sealed Shade in the future. Shade, Maximus, and Rowena chase Zen-Aku to a desert temple with a new Scepter of Darkness, but the evil Zen-Aku has already found the recorded-sphere like Crystal. After Shade fights him and gains victory, Zen-Aku reverts back into his original form, a puddle of darkness. Shade attempts to seal him in the new Scepter of Darkness, but it shatters and Zen-Aku is able to free himself. Zen-Aku reveals that what worked ten years ago no longer does because he is using Shade's form. Zen-Aku uses his powers to summon a giant clone army of himself and he attempts, once again, to trick Shade by convincing him that he is a fool for continuing to protect those who will eventually seal him away. In response, Shade replies, "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have!", Shade removes his power rings, and, in a huge burst of energy, defeats the Zen-Aku clones with his allies and the story ends as a cliffhanger.
Shelke's Story:
Shelke and his partner,Preeya were the hails of Future. Shelke's world is completely destroyed by what is known as "Lucifer".Then,Preeya tells Shelke that she investigate the seal has been broken.Goddess of Harmony,Cosmos told them that Zen-Aku has freed from his captivity.Cosmos informs that Zen-Aku is after the Vessel of the "Fire Bird Spirit" and he wanted to kill a person that responsible for sealing him.Angered of Zen-Aku who had escaped,he can see the vision that he was face-to-face with the man named Takuya.While wondering with Preeya, they met a reunion with Satoshi and his friends. Shelke learns that Takuya was actually his brother from past and Zen-Aku wanted to kill him.Agreed with Satoshi,he and Preeya went back to present to save him.

Unfortunately, Satoshi, Shelke and Preeya arrive too late, as they watch the explode causing the death of Takuya and possibly Zen-Aku as well. Shelke then tells the distraught Satoshi that if they use Aura Power, Satoshi can save Takuya. Satoshi rushes into the past to save Takuya and gives Shelke the Aura Crystal for him to return to the future. After journeying back to the future, resolved to finally defeat Lucifer, Shelke and Preeya fight Lucifer and successfully defeat him. When Shelke tries to seal him, though, by using himself as a vessel, he is unable to use himself as a vessel to seal Lucifer. As the ultimate sacrifice, Preeya uses herself as the vessel, sealing both herself and Lucifer into another dimension to save both Shelke and her world. Disturbed over the loss of a good friend, Shelke becomes upset, unsure if what he had set out to do was worth what he had to pay in the end. Nevertheless, light returns to Shelke's world, and the game ends with him glaring at the Aura Crystal Preeya sealed herself with.
Last Story
The Last Story begins with Zen-Aku sporting an evil look as he finally seems prepared to merge with Lucifer and destroy the world. Using his Materia-like Aura Crystal, Zen-Aku blinds Satoshi and Takuya, who were going back to their village. When they distracted,Zen-Aku rises from the ground and tried to kill Satoshi but failed when Takuya noticed that he will kill Satoshi.He pushed Satoshi out of the way but he was killed right before Satoshi's eyes. Satoshi frantically attempts to revive his fallen brother, but upon discovering that he is indeed dead, cries in despair, releasing Lucifer. At this point, Zen-Aku,realises that the real vessel of a Fire Bird Spirit was Satoshi,then absorbs Lucifer, Zen-Aku then mutates into a dragon with a devil-like wings and then creates his own world to destroy time itself. Continuing from where Shade's story ended, he and his friends recover from their battle with Shua clones and Shadow notices the feather like crystal and recorded sphere that Zen-Aku left behind.These create a blinding flash that send Shade, Rowena and Maximus to the time-space rift formed by Zen-Aku. Meanwhile, Ayane,Dante, Shizuko,Kakeru, Ayame, Tazuki,Elias,Kurei,Raidou,Satoko,
Hitomi,Haruka and Rukawa notice a large bright light that engulfs the city.
When the light fades, they realize that they have also been transported to the rift where all of the previous levels. Hitomi is the first to spot Shelke, who has been teleported here as well by the Aura Crystal that Preeya used to seal Lucifer within her. Everyone notices that they have all been brought to this strange place, even Elias himself. As they try to understand what was happening, Elias reveals that Lucifer's seal has been broken. It is then that they turn and see Satoshi, cradling the body of his beloved brother in his arms, which he realised that they have been after Satoshi in the first place being the host of the "Fire Bird" and "Lucifer". After a few realizations, Elias reveals that Zen-Aku is about to bring about the end of the world by destroying time itself, and Zen-Aku,Ren and Shua appeared and tells them that it cannot be defeated in the present as it exists in all timelines. Shelke refuses to give up, and suggests that they team up and destroy them all at once, but Shade quickly shoots that possibility down, stating that, with Takuya dead and Satoshi is now becomes "an empty shell of his former self", Zen-Aku is completely unstoppable.
Zen-Aku laughs and faded away with Ren and Shua.With Satoshi upset over Takuya's death and their impending doom, Haruka recognizes a familiar wind in the air that makes her come to believe that Takuya may not be entirely dead yet. The second oldest,Itachi, furthering Haruka's observations, explains that they can use the Aura Crystal to revive him. Even though Shua said it's useless,Satoshi mocks her with a smile,familiar with Takuya's grin,telling the that's not too late to know the miracle comes.They find the Aura Power and revive Takuya, with Haruka's kiss transforming him into Lau Wong, his past life as Swordmaster,with Zen-Aku's dismay and wanted to kill Takuya again only to have him pushed back by his Wind Blast power.But Takuya said that he is no longer his opponent as he tells Satoshi was his opponent now. Anger by this turn of events that Takuya handed his fight to his brother, Zen-Aku assimilates with Ren and Shua, saying that he will regret for passing down to Satoshi.Takuya gave his two gold and silver swords to Shade and Shelke along with Satoshi and form their Sword Master form in their White Aura Guardian garbs. Together, the three boys fight Zen-Aku,Shua and Ren. The three use the Aura power on them causing the monster to be torn apart in a time loop. Satoshi, now back to normal, travels with his siblings and his friends to a point in the past where they find the "Lucifer" and its birth. Hitomi realizes that if they puts out the Flames, Zen-Aku will never exist, but Takuya and Satoshi will never used to be right now as Zen-Aku attacks them and never see his friends, which Satoshi confirms. Overcome with despair, Hitomi begins to cry and shouts that she doesn't care what happens to the world. Though Satoshi's other siblings are clearly unhappy about this as well, Takuya tells them to just smile, reflecting on how Satoshi himself told him to smile, and manages to convince him to abandon their meeting.The siblings confidently puts out the Flames, eliminating Lucifer from existence once and for all.
